For ages 11–14 (ish), my creative writing classes build on the skills children have already developed, while encouraging them to explore new ideas and discover what kind of writers they want to be. Through a variety of engaging stimuli, we’ll explore different genres, develop storytelling techniques and have fun experimenting with poetry. In a relaxed environment, children are encouraged to take creative risks, share ideas and grow in confidence. Whether they’re writing a gripping story, playing with words or discovering a love of poetry, the aim is to help every child find their own unique writer’s voice.
